Sr. Software Engineer - Sensor, macOS (Hybrid)

CrowdStrike•Austin, NY
•Hybrid

About The Position

Join CrowdStrike’s MacOS Sensor Foundation team supporting the Falcon endpoint protection platform. The team builds and maintains core macOS sensor components in user space using C++ and Swift, creating a platform for products and features that provide customers with prevention, detection, and response capabilities. The Falcon sensor is a lightweight agent installed on client machines. It observes system activity, recognizes malicious behavior, provides on-device prevention, and sends remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The sensor processes thousands of events per second and performs correlation and computation to identify and block malicious activity. The cloud aggregates sensor telemetry across customer networks, correlates behavior across machines, and presents operations teams with prioritized threats. This engineering role designs and develops macOS sensor features that may span core operating-system subsystems such as file systems, memory, processes, and networking. Some features share components across Windows and Linux. The role is hybrid and requires on-site work 2–3 days per week at one of the posted locations.
