Sr. Software Engineer (Hybrid)
About The Position
Selective is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Azure Cloud and .NET technologies. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-based applications and leading engineers in delivering high-quality software solutions. The engineer will work with cross-functional teams, ensure application performance and quality, mentor junior engineers, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and keep current with industry trends. Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing complex applications.
- Experience in C#, .NET, API development, and SQL.
- Experience with cloud-first architectures and related Azure services, such as Container Apps, API Management/App Gateway, Key Vault, App Services, Logic Apps, and SQL MI.
- Familiarity with modern cloud-native patterns and principles, including Twelve-Factor Apps, service-oriented architectures/microservices/REST, DevOps, continuous deployment, and Site Reliability Engineering.
- Understanding of Infrastructure-as-Code patterns and related technologies such as Bicep, ARM, and Terraform.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience acting as a technical leader and mentor to other software engineers or developers.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working on agile teams and release trains; knowledge of SAFe is preferred.
- Experience with Angular.
- Property and casualty insurance experience.
