Sr. Software Engineer II - Sensor, Linux Guardian (Hybrid)

CrowdStrike•Redmond, WA
•$160,000 - $260,000•Hybrid

About The Position

CrowdStrike Falcon Host is a two-component security product. Its sensor is a driver installed on client machines that observes system activity, recognizes malicious behavior, provides on-box prevention, and sends remote telemetry to the Falcon Host cloud. The sensor processes thousands of events per second and performs correlation and computation to identify malicious events and block malicious activity. The cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry across a customer’s network, correlates behavior across machines, and presents operations teams with a prioritized summary of threats. This Senior Software Development Engineer 2 role is on the engineering team responsible for delivering the Linux sensor, a lightweight agent. Engineers own the design and development of core platform features that span operating system subsystems, including the file system, memory, processes, and networking. Some features include shared components across Windows and Mac. The team follows Agile development principles and ships frequently. The position is hybrid, requiring 2–3 days per week onsite at one of the posted locations. The base salary range for U.S. candidates is $160,000–$260,000 per year, with eligibility for bonuses and equity grants.
