CrowdStrike•Redmond, WA
•$100,000 - $150,000•Hybrid

About The Position

CrowdStrike is hiring a Software Engineer to build systems, metrics, and dashboards that provide engineers and leadership with a trusted view of Falcon sensor and release health. The role is part of a four-engineer team focused on metrics, dashboards, and developer tooling used by sensor engineers and leadership. The engineer will initially participate in the repo-health rotation to understand where sensor teams encounter problems, then build automation and AI-assisted signals to help prioritize work. The role focuses on developer tooling, metrics, and release quality. It primarily uses Python and Django for backend development and React and CSS for frontend work. The team is also developing agentic workflows with Claude Code, including skills and commands used by automated systems and sensor engineers. The position is hybrid, with an expectation of working in the office at least two days per week at one of the posted locations.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience building production systems, focused on developer tooling, metrics, or observability/monitoring.
  • Strong Python experience; the team builds on Django.
  • Proven experience using AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes.
  • Experience with AI-assisted development workflows.

Nice To Haves

  • Cloud experience applied to collecting and surfacing sensor health metrics.
  • Frontend experience with React and CSS building robust, production-grade dashboards.
  • Experience with GitLab CI/CD.
  • Focus on AI fluency and staying current with AI-assisted tooling.

Responsibilities

  • Design and build a sensor quality dashboard that provides visibility into active sensor releases across multiple metrics.
  • Define new signals and metrics for repository and release health, and instrument systems to capture them.
  • Participate in the repo-health rotation and partner with sensor teams to identify engineering obstacles, then build tooling to address them.
  • Build and maintain metrics and visibility across the team's tooling and processes.
  • Build and extend Claude Code skills, commands, and agentic workflows for automated systems and the sensor engineering team.
  • Identify visibility gaps, prototype solutions, and deliver dashboards and tooling that improve understanding of sensor health.
  • Use LogScale, PostgreSQL, and Valkey to collect, process, and surface sensor health metrics reliably.
