We are looking for a Senior Software Development Technology Consultant to join Microsoft Federal. As a Senior Software Development Consultant, you will own, troubleshoot and solve customer technical issues. Collaborates with internal stakeholders in the pre-sale process by understanding business requirements and providing industry and technical input and/or solution offerings to help shape the deal. Supports drafting proposals and/or statement of work (SOW). Provides input on staffing and skill requirements for delivery to Resource Deployment, Technical Delivery Managers (TDMs), and/or Project Managers. Uses business, industry, and technology strategies to map customer/partner requirements to the adoption and optimization of Microsoft technology solutions. Engages others appropriately to understand and define customer requirements. Communicates the business value of planned solutions to customers/ partners. Identifies technical and business risks in programs and proposes mitigations. Acts as an ambassador in the consumption of intellectual property (IP) by leveraging and/or modifying existing IP or creating repeatable content where applicable. Improves Managed Standard Offerings (MSO) quality and collaborates with portfolio and solution teams of the domain by providing feedback. Identifies opportunities to expand or accelerate the adoption and consumption of the cloud and Microsoft technologies. Facilitates, as appropriate, other team members to scale the business with existing customers by articulating value propositions of strategic Microsoft products and services and developing new offerings for the domain. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or related field OR equivalent experience.
3+ years leadership experience in relevant area of business OR equivalent experience.
Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
The successful candidate must have an active U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI Security Clearance.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
Failure to maintain or obtain the appropriate clearance and/or customer screening requirements may result in employment action up to and including termination.
This position requires successful verification of the stated security clearance to meet federal government customer requirements.
You will be asked to provide clearance verification information prior to an offer of employment.
This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship-based legal restrictions.
Specifically, this position supports United States federal, state, and/or local United States government agency customer and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law.

Nice To Haves

5+ years leadership experience in relevant area of business.
Technical certifications based on domain/service line (e.g., Azure, Security, Dynamics).
Delivery Management certification (e.g., Scrum, Agile, Change Management, Project Management).
5 years plus years of software engineering and technical experience in a relevant business area.
Possession of technical certifications in specific domains or service lines, such as Azure or Security.
Expertise in using Bicep or similar domain-specific languages for Azure infrastructure as code.
Practical experience in deploying, managing, and scaling applications with Kubernetes.
Strong understanding of Microservice Architecture and related Design Patterns.
Proficiency in developing and maintaining applications using Node.js / Python / C#.
Competence in creating and managing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub DevOps.
Familiarity with containerization and managing Docker containers.
Knowledge of Azure Graph API for managing Azure resources.
Experience in implementing and managing security measures with Windows Defender or similar tools.

Responsibilities

Join our Cloud Engineering team as an individual contributor to build in-house solutions and applications for Microsoft Federal.
You will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge software that meets the unique needs of our federal clients, while articulating value propositions for strategic Microsoft products and services.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable Kubernetes microservices using Node.js / Python / C#
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and integrate with Azure services, including Service Bus, Cosmos DB, Blob Storage, and Redis.
Build event-driven architectures using message queuing technologies (e.g., Azure Service Bus) to manage transfer states and enable efficient system decoupling
Build robust logging and monitoring systems, leveraging tools like Application Insights and Log Analytics
Advanced storage patterns and practices to efficiently manage high concurrency transfers
Design and develop intuitive, user-friendly interfaces using React to enhance user experience across a modern, cloud-native web platform
Design, implement, and optimize data models and queries in Azure Cosmos DB, ensuring efficient storage, high performance, and scalability for large-scale, concurrent data operations
Identifies opportunities to expand or accelerate the adoption and consumption of cloud and Microsoft technologies.
Facilitates, as appropriate, other team members to scale the business with existing customers by articulating value propositions of strategic Microsoft products, including security to facilitate trust in the services, and developing new offerings for the domain.
Drives innovation and digital transformation.
Ensures the use of the existing intellectual property (IP).
Acts as an ambassador in the consumption of intellectual property (IP) by leveraging and/or modifying existing IP or creating repeatable content where applicable.
Provides feedback on Managed IP for continuous improvement, reports IP gaps, reviews IP to be considered for harvesting and curation and ensures it is logged for consumption.
Improves Industry Solutions offerings quality and collaborates with portfolio and solution teams by providing feedback.
