About The Position

You will be the Sr. Skunk Works Subsystem Design Engineer for the Advanced Development Programs (Skunk Works®) which is responsible for cutting‑edge aerospace subsystem design and integration. As the Sr. Skunk Works Subsystem Design Engineer you will be responsible for crafting and refining aircraft subsystem designs, validating concepts, and ensuring flawless installations across the program.

Requirements

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Bachelor's degree in an engineering technical discipline such as Mechanical, Aerospace or Aeronautical
Experience with 3DX, CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool
Experience creating and/or modifying drawings
Experience with aircraft subsystem design, installation and troubleshooting
Hands on experience with aircraft modifications
Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance per business requirements
5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with related Masters degree.

Responsibilities

Develop, test, and validate new and modified subsystem designs
Troubleshoot system malfunctions to determine root cause and corrective action
Create and maintain 3‑D CATIA models, assemblies and installations, system requirements, interface/supplier control drawings, performance specifications, system checkout procedures and statements of work
Create system requirements, trade studies, sub‑component and flight test plans
Coordinate with suppliers, internal and external integrated product teams, management and the customer
