About The Position

Lockheed Martin Aeronautics Engineering and Technology is seeking Software Engineers to join their team. This role involves designing, developing, integrating, simulating, deploying, and flight testing leading-edge systems and open system architectures. The Skunk Works team specifically focuses on Electromagnetic Spectrum (EMS) Warfare, supporting the integration of open architecture services into tactically representative hardware and verifying end-to-end capability. This is an ultra-fast-paced, something new-every-day, short-deadline-driven, self-directed, empowered, agile team environment. The role requires facing complex and challenging assignments that may require investigation and critical problem solving. Specific job responsibilities may be classified.

Requirements

  • Bachelors in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Development or related degree from an accredited college.
  • Software development experience in C++ and Python
  • Experience with Linux
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must have or obtain at least an Interim Secret clearance before starting.

Nice To Haves

  • Understands Open System Architectures like Big Iron and AMS GRA
  • Experience with containerization technology like Docker and Podman
  • Experience with Vagrant and/or Windows Subystem for Linux (WSL)
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools like Gitlab CI/CD
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics

Responsibilities

  • Support the integration of open architecture services into tactically representative hardware.
  • Verify the functional behavior of the end-to-end capability as deployed on the hardware.
  • Face complex and challenging assignments that may require investigation and critical problem solving.
  • Design, develop, integrate, simulate, deploy, and flight test systems and open system architectures.
