Sr. Silicon Design Engineer

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc•Austin, TX

About The Position

Xilinx, Inc., a subsidiary of AMD, Inc., is hiring a Sr. Silicon Design Engineer to define, design, verify, and create documentation for ASIC development. The role includes determining architecture and logic designs and system simulations, and defining module interfaces and formats for simulation. The engineer contributes to multidimensional designs involving the layout of complex integrated circuits and evaluates the process flow from high-level design through synthesis, place and route, timing, and power use. The position also involves analyzing equipment to establish operation data, conducting experimental tests, evaluating results, and potentially reviewing vendor capabilities to support development. The engineer applies knowledge of computers and electronics, design techniques, tools, and principles, as well as engineering principles, best practices, and technologies, to the design, development, and testing of company products. Travel is not required.
