Sr. Silicon Design Engineer

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc•Santa Clara, CA

About The Position

AMD, Inc. is hiring a Sr. Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. The role applies knowledge of electronic theory and oversees definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for ASIC development. Responsibilities include determining architecture and logic designs and/or system simulations; defining module interfaces and formats for simulation; contributing to multidimensional designs involving complex integrated-circuit layouts; and evaluating the process flow from high-level designs through synthesis, place and route, timing, and power use. The engineer works in an area of specialization to develop ASIC or layout designs, applying analysis to problems with identifiable factors. The role uses knowledge of computers and electronics, design techniques, tools, and principles, as well as engineering principles, best practices, and technologies, to design, develop, and test AMD products. Travel is not required.
