Sr. Silicon Design Engineer

Advanced Micro Devices, Inc•Santa Clara, CA

About The Position

AMD is hiring a Sr. Silicon Design Engineer to research, design, develop, and/or test electronic components and systems for semiconductor and related device manufacturing. The role involves performing definition, design, verification, and/or documentation for ASIC development; determining architecture design, logic design, and/or system simulation; and defining module interfaces and formats for simulation. The engineer will contribute to multidimensional designs involving complex integrated-circuit layouts and evaluate the process flow from high-level designs through synthesis, place and route, timing, and power use. Working in an area of specialization, the engineer develops ASIC/layout design and applies knowledge of electronics, design techniques, tools, engineering principles, best practices, and technologies to design, develop, and test AMD products. Experience may be gained through graduate-level coursework, research, or internship experience. Multiple openings are available. Travel is not required.
