Sr. ServiceNow SPM Architect / Lead Developer
About The Position

This is a Remote Contract Position. We are seeking an experienced professional with extensive expertise in the Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) suite and strong end-to-end ServiceNow platform knowledge. The ideal candidate will lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of enterprise portfolio, demand, project, program, resource, investment, and agile management solutions while driving AI-powered innovations across the ServiceNow ecosystem. The candidate should possess a strong architectural mindset, deep platform configuration and development skills, and hands-on experience implementing scalable enterprise solutions using ServiceNow AI capabilities, intelligent automation, and modern platform best practices.
Requirements
- 8 years of ServiceNow platform experience.
- 5 years of hands-on ServiceNow SPM implementation experience.
- Experience leading enterprise-scale ServiceNow transformation programmes.
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with ERP, HR, Finance, DevOps, and Agile tools.
- ServiceNow SPM Demand Management, PPM, Resource Management, Financial Management, Enterprise Agile Planning, Portfolio Management, Strategic Planning, Investment Funding, Objectives & Key Results (OKRs), Scenario Planning.
- ServiceNow Platform: App Engine, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, UI Builder, Service Portal, Performance Analytics, Reporting & Dashboards, Workspace Configuration, Security & Governance, Platform Upgrades.
- Development: JavaScript, Glide APIs, Script Includes, Business Rules, REST/SOAP Integrations, IntegrationHub Spokes, Source Control & CI/CD.
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD)
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – Strategic Portfolio Management
- Utilises AI to accelerate solution design and delivery.
- Designs AI-powered employee and customer experiences.
- Leverages Agentic AI to automate business workflows.
- Uses AI-assisted SDLC practices for requirement generation, code review, testing, and documentation.
- Develops AI copilots and digital workforce solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
- Promotes responsible AI practices with governance, security, and compliance controls.
- Translates business problems into AI-driven platform solutions with measurable ROI.
Responsibilities
- Lead and implement ServiceNow SPM solutions across: Demand Management, Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Program Management, Agile Development, Resource Management, Financial Planning, Investment Funding, Strategic Planning, Workspace, Objectives & Key Results (OKR), Enterprise Portfolio Management, Capacity Planning, Roadmap Planning.
- Design governance processes for portfolio selection, prioritisation, and funding.
- Configure portfolio hierarchy, investment planning, strategic themes, and business objectives.
- Implement resource allocation, forecasting, capacity management, and utilisation dashboards.
- Build executive reporting and portfolio analytics using Performance Analytics and Workspace experiences.
- Define portfolio KPIs and enterprise metrics.
- Drive adoption of ServiceNow AI capabilities including: Identify opportunities for AI-based automation in: Demand Intake, Project Risk Analysis, Capacity Forecasting, Resource Optimisation, Executive Reporting, Project Summarisation, Knowledge Generation.
- Partner with business stakeholders to define AI use cases and measurable outcomes.
- Ensure responsible AI governance, security, compliance, and human-in-the-loop validation.
