About The Position

This role involves translating complex business requirements into technical designs and solutions using ServiceNow. The developer will lead the development of ServiceNow applications, ensuring alignment with business objectives and best practices, and provide technical expertise and guidance to other developers. The position requires developing, configuring, and enhancing ServiceNow applications, staying current with ServiceNow products and industry trends, and conducting technical assessments to improve existing implementations. Responsibilities also include reviewing developed functionality, performing unit, system, and integration testing, debugging technical problems, supporting documentation development, providing demonstrations of applications, participating in platform upgrades, and ensuring the security, scalability, and maintainability of ServiceNow solutions.

Requirements

  • Must be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD "SECRET" security clearance; candidates must obtain an approved adjudication of clearance prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
  • Minimum of SIX (6) years of professional experience.
  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies, deliverables, and controls.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Expertise in ServiceNow Modules such as GRC, SPM, and ITSM, as well as with App Engine and Scoped Apps.
  • Strong experience with scripting (JavaScript, Glide, AngularJS), Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.
  • Experience with Software Development Lifecycle methodologies, deliverables, and controls.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and establish rapport with a diverse array of people at all levels.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to commute to client or corporate offices within the Washington, DC metropolitan area 2-3 days per week.
  • ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CSA, CIS, CAD)
  • Experience with web services integration, specifically Mid-Server, SOAP, and REST preferred.
  • Agile, SCRUM or SAFe certifications.
  • General understanding of financial management aspects (i.e., financial operations, financial innovation, internal control, risk management, etc.), particularly in a federal environment.
  • Candidates with an ACTIVE "SECRET" or higher-level clearance are preferred.

  • Provide demonstrations of developed applications to product owners and end users.
  • Participate in platform upgrade activities, including regression testing and reconfiguration.
  • Ensure the security, scalability, and maintainability of ServiceNow solutions.
