Sr Scientist, Analytical and Biological Mass Spectrometry (ABMS)

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals•Tarrytown, GA
•$109,900 - $179,300•Onsite

About The Position

Regeneron is seeking a highly motivated Sr. Scientist to join its Analytical and Biological Mass Spectrometry (ABMS) Group. The role is based in an innovative liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry laboratory and involves developing and performing top-down and bottom-up mass spectrometry with state-of-the-art LC-MS instruments to characterize therapeutic drugs. The scientist will focus on biochemical characterization of therapeutic proteins throughout drug development and develop and implement LC/MS-based methods for elucidating protein primary structure and related attributes, including peptide mapping, disulfide linkage determination, carbohydrate profiling, post-translational modifications, sequence variant analysis, charge and size variant characterization, and host-cell protein analysis. The role supports development of monoclonal antibody-based therapeutic proteins, bispecific antibodies, Fc-fusion proteins, antibody conjugates, and other modalities, including adeno-associated virus, mRNA, and siRNA. It also involves LC-MS bioanalytical strategies and high-throughput methods to quantify biomarkers and diverse drug candidates in biological matrices for preclinical and early-stage clinical pharmacokinetic studies. The scientist will explore emerging analytical and bioanalysis technologies, collaborate with therapeutic function areas to support drug discovery, and contribute to a team-oriented, science-driven organization.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field with 0–5 years of postdoctoral experience; or an MS degree with 5+ years of experience; or a BS degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
