Regeneron Pharmaceuticals•Tarrytown, GA
•$93,900 - $153,300•Onsite

About The Position

Regeneron is seeking a highly motivated Scientist to join its Analytical and Biological Mass Spectrometry Group (ABMS). The role is based in an innovative mass spectrometry laboratory and involves executing LC-MS methods to characterize biotherapeutic products throughout drug development, from early-stage candidate selection through late-stage regulatory submissions. The Scientist will also develop analytical technologies to support Regeneron’s research and development pipeline. The position supports characterization of monoclonal antibodies, Fc-fusion proteins, and other modalities, including antibody-drug conjugates, antibody-oligonucleotide conjugates, adeno-associated virus, and siRNA. It includes analytical support for cross-functional teams and development of LC-MS-based analytical methods. The role is full-time and on-site in Tarrytown, New York.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a closely related field.
  • Industrial or academic experience in LC-MS-based analytical characterization of protein therapeutics.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience using LC-MS to analyze biotherapeutics, including monoclonal antibodies, Fc-fusion proteins, and other modalities.
  • Strong organization and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and deliver results with efficiency and ownership.
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and solve complex problems.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to prioritize effectively and drive work forward with minimal supervision.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with advanced mass spectrometers, liquid chromatography, separation technologies, and data processing software.
  • Experience with intact-mass analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Execute established protocols and communicate analytical characterization of biotherapeutics to support drug development.
  • Characterize biotherapeutics using LC-MS, with an emphasis on intact-mass analysis, to elucidate critical quality attributes such as charge variants, size variants, and post-translational modifications.
  • Provide analytical support to cross-functional teams, including formulation development, upstream and downstream process development, and manufacturing, to address drug development challenges.
  • Independently prepare samples and conduct LC-MS analyses in compliance with SOPs.
  • Document experimental procedures and results in an electronic laboratory notebook (ELN).
  • Present data at group and project meetings.
  • Write technical reports, SOPs, and regulatory filing reports.
  • Develop LC-MS-based analytical methods to support R&D programs.
  • Plan and prioritize work, manage and visualize data, and provide clear, timely updates.

Benefits

  • Competitive total rewards package that may include annual bonuses or other incentive plans, equity awards, pension or retirement benefits, a 401(k) company match, health and wellness programs, fitness centers, medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid time off, and family support benefits.
