MDG/SAP Architect
About The Position
The Sr SAP Architect is a high-performing contributor and IT subject matter expert who facilitates and supports SAP functions to resolve a wide range of IT issues. The role defines the architecture and technical strategy for SAP solutions, with a focus on SAP Master Data Governance (MDG). It owns end-to-end MDG architecture and module solutions, from prototyping and blueprinting through design, build, testing, documentation, and post-go-live support, including interfaces and cross-module integration. The architect works with business and technical stakeholders to align SAP solutions with business goals, S/4HANA, and enterprise architecture, while ensuring quality, governance, and adherence to best practices.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SAP MDG-M, MDG-BP, and MDG-F, or equivalent domains.
- Experience with S/4HANA Business Partner and its data model.
- Experience with BRF+, DRF, Workflow, and FPM.
- Solid ABAP knowledge for debugging, enhancements, and BADIs.
- Strong understanding of master data governance, data quality, and integration patterns.
- Excellent stakeholder communication and decision-making skills.
- In-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in the job discipline.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
- High integrity and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products.

Responsibilities
- Develop and document SAP architecture solutions aligned with business goals and objectives.
- Define the technical roadmap for SAP systems, considering scalability, security, and performance.
- Oversee integration of SAP modules and components and collaborate with technical teams to implement integrated solutions.
- Own end-to-end module solutions, including prototyping, blueprinting, design, build, testing, documentation, interfaces, cross-module integration, and post-go-live support.
- Understand end-to-end, cross-functional business processes related to the SAP functional module, including integrations with extended business systems.
- Evaluate emerging SAP technologies and industry trends, and recommend enhancements and innovations.
- Assess the feasibility of adopting new SAP functionality and tools.
- Establish and enforce SAP architectural governance standards and ensure adherence to best practices and industry standards.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Communicate technical vision and architecture to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ensure solution quality through reviews, validations, testing, and quality assurance processes.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Own the end-to-end SAP MDG architecture for Central Governance, Consolidation, and Mass Processing.
- Design governance solutions for Material, Business Partner, Customer, Vendor, Finance, and custom objects.
- Define data models, domain structures, ownership, and reuse standards.
- Align MDG design with S/4HANA and enterprise architecture.
