About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a music-focused Senior Sales Associate to create an engaging customer experience, generate sales, and support the store team. The role involves helping customers select instruments and related gear, sharing product knowledge, building customer relationships, and maintaining an inviting and organized store. As a keyholding team member, the Senior Sales Associate may open and close the store as needed and help guide and mentor fellow Associates.

Requirements

Passion for music and a solid understanding of various instruments and products.
Proven sales track record and ability to exceed sales targets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and strong organizational skills.
Ability to influence and inspire others toward shared goals.
Willingness to work additional hours if needed and work nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Create a welcoming environment and help customers find instruments and gear suited to their interests and needs.
Achieve and exceed sales targets, including upselling and cross-selling relevant instruments and accessories.
Maintain expert-level knowledge of products, including guitars and recording equipment, and help improve product knowledge among other employees.
Build and maintain customer relationships and help Associates develop relationships within the local music community.
Organize displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
Guide and mentor team members and support them with customer interactions and operational tasks.
Open and close the store as needed as a keyholding team member.
