About The Position

Guitar Center is seeking a Senior Sales Associate to create a welcoming retail experience and help customers find instruments and gear that support their musical interests. The role combines customer service, sales, product knowledge, relationship building, merchandising, store operations, and peer leadership. The associate helps achieve sales targets, supports the development of other associates, and contributes to the store’s connection with the local music community. As a keyholding team member, the associate may open and close the store as needed.

Requirements

Passion for music and a solid understanding of various instruments and products.
Proven sales success and a track record of exceeding targets.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and strong organizational skills.
Ability to influence and inspire others toward shared goals.
Willingness to work additional hours if needed and nights and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

Create a welcoming environment and help customers select appropriate instruments and musical gear.
Achieve and exceed sales targets by recommending complementary products and accessories.
Maintain expert-level knowledge of products, including guitars and recording equipment, and help improve other associates’ product knowledge.
Build customer relationships and help fellow associates develop customer relationships and connections with the local music community.
Organize merchandise displays, restock shelves, and maintain the store.
Guide and mentor team members, supporting them during customer interactions and operational tasks.
Open and close the store as needed as a keyholding team member.
