Requirements

  • BSc in Mechanical Engineering or any related engineering field.
  • Minimum of three years’ engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic chemical unit operations and Process Safety Management (PSM) systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in chemical processes or production.

Responsibilities

  • Work on Capital projects, both large (>$1m) and small ($<50k), incorporating reliability design and maintainability into new equipment and processes.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the operating processes on site.
  • Facilitate Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and act as equipment Subject Matter Expert (SME) for RCAs when appropriate.
  • Contribute to plant-wide reliability initiatives and strategies for long-term operational stability.
  • Develop an understanding of maintenance department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and improvement initiatives.
  • Focus on equipment uptime and the correct installation of new equipment.
  • Provide regulatory interpretation and technical support for site projects.
  • Support Compliance efforts in line with OSHA, ASME, NFPA, and Process Safety Management (PSM).
