Requirements
- BSc in Mechanical Engineering or any related engineering field.
- Minimum of three years’ engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of basic chemical unit operations and Process Safety Management (PSM) systems.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in chemical processes or production.
Responsibilities
- Work on Capital projects, both large (>$1m) and small ($<50k), incorporating reliability design and maintainability into new equipment and processes.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the operating processes on site.
- Facilitate Root Cause Analyses (RCAs) and act as equipment Subject Matter Expert (SME) for RCAs when appropriate.
- Contribute to plant-wide reliability initiatives and strategies for long-term operational stability.
- Develop an understanding of maintenance department Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and improvement initiatives.
- Focus on equipment uptime and the correct installation of new equipment.
- Provide regulatory interpretation and technical support for site projects.
- Support Compliance efforts in line with OSHA, ASME, NFPA, and Process Safety Management (PSM).
