About The Position

This remote, full-time role is a key position responsible for reinforcing-steel estimating and detailing, as well as helping develop the company’s estimating standards, production rates, historical cost database, and preconstruction process. The successful candidate will serve as a technical resource for estimating, project management, and operations teams. The role reports to the President / Executive Management and includes periodic travel to project sites and company meetings. The candidate will independently review structural drawings and specifications, perform reinforcing-steel takeoffs, develop labor and material pricing, understand detailing requirements, identify constructability issues, and provide management with reliable estimates of project cost and risk. The position also supports project turnover, change-order pricing, field personnel, and preconstruction discussions. The role will help establish standardized estimating procedures, templates, checklists, production-rate databases, software, and quality-control procedures. It includes mentoring junior estimators and detailers and may eventually assume responsibility for the company’s reinforcing-steel estimating and detailing function. A competitive annual performance bonus is based on estimating accuracy, gross-margin performance, successful project awards, department development, process improvements, project support, and overall company performance.
