Sr Quality Manager

Geami•Painesville, OH

About The Position

The Sr Quality Manager owns Quality performance across Concord and the NA PPS satellite manufacturing sites. The role leads, develops and holds accountable the regional Quality organization, including site Quality Engineering, inspection and laboratory resources, and establishes operating rhythms for escalation, management review, KPI follow-up and corrective action. The position partners with Operations, Engineering, Procurement, Product Management, Sales and Service while maintaining independent Quality judgment and escalation discipline. The role oversees customer and field quality concerns, manufacturing and process quality, supplier quality, design quality and new-product introduction, and the regional Quality Management System. It establishes reliable Cost of Poor Quality reporting and drives prioritized improvement actions; ensures complaints and escalations are investigated, contained and closed; and improves process capability, defect prevention, yield and scrap performance. It also builds risk-based supplier controls, incorporates Quality into product and process changes, and maintains an ISO 9001-aligned QMS across the regional manufacturing network. The Sr Quality Manager has regional decision authority for significant nonconforming material, CAPA closure and responses to quality-system findings within NA PPS scope, and Quality recommendations concerning containment, customer credits and field or recall actions. The role may initiate supplier audits and recommend supplier actions in coordination with Procurement and Global Quality, and makes hiring, performance and development decisions for regional Quality resources within delegated authority. Regular travel among NA PPS facilities and to suppliers or customers is required as business needs require.
