About The Position

The Sr. Project Manager leads end-to-end delivery of complex, high-value, high-profile mission-critical and data-center infrastructure projects. The role owns project performance across cost, schedule, scope, procurement, quality, and client outcomes, and directs project managers, assistant project managers, and project coordinators. The Senior Project Manager serves as the primary point of accountability to clients and internal leadership for assigned projects. The position leads project planning and delivery in technically demanding, fast-track environments, including pre-design and feasibility work, contractor and vendor coordination, commercial management, risk escalation, quality assurance, and commissioning. It also involves field assessments and oversight of electrical equipment maintenance, testing, and contractor work in active, energized environments. The position is on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with travel of up to 100% for specific projects as needed. Visa sponsorship is not provided; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 8 years of construction project management experience in data center, industrial, or other mission-critical environments, with demonstrated ownership of full delivery for large, complex, high-value projects.
  • Track record delivering projects at scale, including total project costs of $50M or more, high schedule intensity, and technically complex MEP scopes.
  • Direct oversight of electrical, mechanical, generator, controls, and structural trade contractors in active, energized construction settings.
  • Commercial and contract leadership experience, including RFP development, negotiation, and administration of GMP, NTE, or similar contract structures on large project scopes.
  • Advanced proficiency with project management, scheduling, and financial management software.
  • Deep working knowledge of MEP systems, critical power and cooling infrastructure, and commissioning standards such as NFPA and ASHRAE across data center system types.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, executive-level presentation, and reporting skills; ability to serve as the primary project representative to demanding clients.
  • Ability to work autonomously and exercise decisive judgment in ambiguous, high-pressure, fast-track environments where conventional sequencing does not apply.
  • Availability to travel up to 100% for specific projects as needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review Method of Procedures (MOPs) for critical infrastructure, provide detailed status reports, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Execute procurement and commercial activities, including RFP development, vendor qualification, negotiation, and direct contracting under NTE/GMP arrangements.
  • Coordinate prime and trade contracts, including electrical, mechanical, controls, fire protection, structural, and general trades, through phased and overlapping delivery.
  • Manage GMP/NTE budgets, ROM development, change orders, forecasts, pay applications, and variance analysis.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client interface, translate technical requirements into actionable plans, and provide data-driven reporting.
  • Identify, document, and escalate technical, schedule, and commercial risks; make decisions within established guidelines and escalate high-stakes issues appropriately.
  • Ensure quality assurance and commissioning of critical power, cooling, life-safety, and control systems in active, energized environments.
  • Perform field assessments, onsite electrical equipment evaluations, operational testing, commissioning, and regular inspections of buildings and equipment.
  • Identify maintenance and repair needs and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.
  • Supervise electrical equipment maintenance, testing, and contractor work to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Collaborate on project plans, specifications, and engineering drawings using CAD software and ensure designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Provide technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and reliable power systems, including UPS, batteries, emergency generators, transfer switches, switchgear, and distributed generation.
  • Enforce site safety protocols, including lockout-tagout (LOTO) and safe work practices; lead safety stand-downs and corrective actions after incidents.
