•$128,590 - $180,000•Remote

About The Position

JLL is hiring a senior project management professional to lead end-to-end delivery of complex, high-value mission-critical and data-center infrastructure projects. The role owns performance across cost, schedule, scope, procurement, quality, and client outcomes, and directs project managers, assistant project managers, and project coordinators supporting assigned projects. The Senior Project Manager is the primary point of accountability to clients and internal leadership for each engagement. The position leads feasibility and pre-design efforts, compressed and parallelized delivery, procurement and contracting, project financial management, risk escalation, quality assurance, commissioning, field assessments, and safety. Work includes critical systems in active, energized environments, such as power, cooling, life-safety, controls, and building systems. The role also supports contract administration, compliance, insurance documentation, and governance. The position is remote, with the listed locations of Colorado City, Texas, and Colorado Springs, Colorado, and may require travel up to 100% for specific projects. JLL describes a supportive culture and benefits package prioritizing mental, physical, and emotional health. The position does not provide visa sponsorship; candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 8 years of construction project management experience in data-center, industrial, or other mission-critical environments, including ownership of full delivery on large, complex, high-value projects.
  • Track record delivering projects at scale, including total project costs of $50 million or more, high schedule intensity, and technically complex MEP scopes.
  • Direct oversight of electrical, mechanical, generator, controls, and structural trade contractors in active, energized construction settings.
  • Commercial and contract leadership experience, including RFP development, negotiation, and administration of GMP, NTE, or similar contract structures on large project scopes.
  • Advanced proficiency with project management, scheduling, and financial management software.
  • Deep working knowledge of MEP systems, critical power and cooling infrastructure, and commissioning standards such as NFPA and ASHRAE across data-center system types.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, executive-level presentation, and reporting skills; ability to act as the primary project representative to demanding clients.
  • Ability to work autonomously and exercise decisive judgment in ambiguous, high-pressure, fast-track environments where conventional sequencing does not apply.
  • Availability to travel up to 100% for specific projects as needed.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

  • Lead pre-design and feasibility work with engineering, including due diligence, constructability reviews, capacity validation, value engineering, design paths, and ROM estimates.
  • Drive compressed, parallelized delivery methods to meet speed-to-market commitments, adapting planning, sequencing, and contractor coordination to project scale and complexity.
  • Develop and review Method of Procedures (MOPs) for critical infrastructure, provide detailed status reports, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Execute procurement and commercial activities, including RFP development, vendor qualification, negotiation, and direct contracting under NTE/GMP arrangements.
  • Coordinate prime and trade contracts for electrical, mechanical, controls, fire protection, structural, and general trades through phased and overlapping delivery.
  • Manage GMP/NTE budgets, ROM development, change orders, forecasts, pay applications, and variance analysis.
  • Serve as the primary day-to-day client interface, translating technical requirements into actionable plans and providing data-driven reporting.
  • Identify, document, and escalate technical, schedule, and commercial risks; make decisions within established guidelines and escalate high-stakes issues appropriately.
  • Ensure quality assurance and commissioning of critical power, cooling, life-safety, and control systems in active, energized environments.
  • Conduct field assessments, electrical equipment evaluations, operational testing, commissioning, and regular inspections to identify maintenance and repair needs and ensure regulatory and industry compliance.
  • Supervise electrical equipment maintenance, testing, and contractor work to ensure quality standards.
  • Collaborate on project plans, specifications, and engineering drawings using CAD software, and ensure designs comply with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Provide technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety, and reliable power systems, including UPS, batteries, emergency generators, transfer switches, switchgear, and distributed generation.
  • Enforce site safety protocols, including LOTO and safe work practices; lead safety stand-downs and corrective actions when incidents occur.
