The New Nuclear Development group provides engineering, procurement, construction, and project management support at the early stages of new nuclear projects, including small modular reactors (SMRs) or large-scale nuclear projects. Project support may encompass estimating, technology assessments, constructability reviews, schedule development, and contract development. The work can be undertaken by Aecon independently or in a Joint Venture partnership, with projects located in Canada, the US, or internationally. Aecon's leadership in these early stages is crucial for setting up success for the execution phase, including moving into the Validation Phase and establishing the execution organization. The Sr. Project Coordinator is a highly motivated self-starter reporting to the Program Manager, supporting the New Nuclear Development (NND) team in early-phase nuclear pursuits and project development. The role focuses on coordinating pursuit and proposal activities, supporting early project planning, estimating, scheduling, and risk management, and assisting with project setup and governance. This position also supports cross-sector coordination (One Aecon), document control and SharePoint management, and provides reporting and stakeholder support to prepare projects for transition into validation and execution.
