About The Position

Raytheon, an RTX business, is seeking an experienced Program Management, Planning, and Scheduling professional to join the Planning & Activation organization. The role supports complex programs across multiple Raytheon locations and business areas and requires scheduling expertise, analytical capability, and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will lead or support the development, maintenance, and analysis of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and program planning artifacts, ensuring compliance with government customer requirements. The position helps establish and maintain credible program baselines, drive schedule performance, and support key program deliverables. Planning teammates serve as business partners by developing executable program plans, collaborating with stakeholders, and providing schedule and predictive analytics and acceleration techniques. This is an onsite U.S.-based role in Tewksbury, Massachusetts. U.S. citizenship and an active, existing DoD Secret security clearance are required.

Requirements

Typically, a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field and at least 5 years of Program Planning, Scheduling, or Project Management experience; alternatively, an advanced degree and at least 3 years of relevant experience.
Experience using software for creating and maintaining industry-related schedules, such as MS Project, Primavera, Open Plan, Project Server, or similar scheduling tools.
Experience developing and maintaining Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and/or evaluating critical paths and/or conducting workflow analysis.
Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business processes.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance; an active and existing DoD Secret clearance is required after day one.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
Experience analyzing schedule metrics, trends, driving paths, and risk drivers, including Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA).
Understanding of Agile software development principles and the product development lifecycle.
Strong communication skills and the ability to influence across organizational levels.
Familiarity with APEX, SAP/R3, Microframe Project Manager (MPM), Oracle ERP, Deltek Cobra, Deltek MPM Connect, or ForProject.
PMP certification.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and analyze Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) in MS Project, incorporating contractual and programmatic changes throughout the program lifecycle.
Ensure the IMS complies with government customer requirements, is properly resource-loaded, and is integrated with cost, schedule, and technical scope, including network logic, workflow structures, and scheduling best practices.
Create and maintain Program Master Phasing Schedules.
Conduct schedule analyses, including critical path evaluations, driving paths, risk integration, variance analysis, trend metrics, and schedule risk analysis.
Support Estimate at Complete (EAC) and Latest Revised Estimate (LRE) processes related to schedule performance.
Prepare internal and external schedule review packages, including Contract Data Requirements List submissions.
Communicate schedule status to Program Managers, Planning Leads, senior leadership, and customers, including what-if scenarios and schedule impact assessments.
Ensure scheduling structures, coding, and hierarchy comply with Raytheon standards and program-specific directives.
Partner with technical leads, finance, contracts, and cross-functional stakeholders to maintain an accurate and executable Program Measurement Baseline (PMB).
