About The Position

The Amazon Alexa International team in Toronto is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead the expansion of Alexa+ in Canada. This role involves defining user needs, developing product roadmaps, understanding the Canadian market landscape (English and French locales), and translating strategic vision into actionable plans. The position requires owning the end-to-end customer experience for Alexa Canada across various endpoints, managing prioritization and trade-offs, and working closely with engineering and program management teams. The role is described as equal parts business strategy, product definition, and program delivery, requiring the ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast-paced, and dynamic business environment. The ideal candidate will possess analytical skills, cross-functional understanding, business judgment, technical expertise, and strategic thinking, with a genuine technical curiosity in AI/ML, large language models, and conversational systems. Direct customer engagement through beta programs and feedback channels is essential. Collaboration with various partners such as marketing, technical PMs, solution architects, engineering, content, business development, and legal is expected to ensure a world-class Alexa experience in Canada.

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market landscape, customer needs, and competitive dynamics in Canada across English and French locales, including emerging AI/ML capabilities and their implications for product strategy.
  • Develop detailed, crisp business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications and architecture for each product and application.
  • Translate strategic vision into actionable plans and lead cross-functional teams to execute on priority initiatives, writing clear strategy documents (PRFAQs, one-pagers) that influence organizational priorities.
  • Own the end-to-end customer experience for Alexa Canada across Echo, FireTV, and additional endpoints, partnering closely with UX designers to co-create experiences that balance delight, usability, and technical feasibility.
