About The Position

The Senior Procurement Analyst has a key role in managing Finished Goods & Outsourced Metal Components for our Mauser North America spend ~ $35 Million in Spend Management. This role works closely with our SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Order & Planning) Team to organize our supplier performance activities to meet our customer demand for FG’s & Outsourced Components. Key supplier activities include delivery performance (On Time In Full), quality improvement & increase profitability (EIP – Earnings Improvement Program).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Commercial, Supply Chain, Finance or mathematics preferred. Master’s degree is a plus
  • 1-3 years’ experience in supply chain, demand planning/forecasting, inventory management or related field required
  • Hands-on experience with modeling, analysis and simulation tools required
  • Strong analytical, financial and decision-making skills with an eye for detail and the ability to problem solve
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross functionally and achieve business results through collaboration
  • Capable of resolving escalated issues
  • Knowledge and previous work experience with ERP systems is a plus
  • Must demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills. Presentation and facilitation experience at all levels of the organization
  • Results oriented, self-motivated with a high sense of urgency and personal accountability
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (build charts/graphs, pivot table, sorting/filtering data, formulas, identifying trends/patterns in data)

  • Knowledge and previous work experience with ERP systems is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategy for the finished steel goods & outsourcing categories of about $35 million spend that will evolve based on business needs. Will work closely with Senior Leadership putting together sourcing plan & delivering our EIP Budget
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Finance, Operations and Planning to meet day-to-day operational needs to increase supplier performance
  • Participate in the Company’s Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) Process
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and take a proactive approach to understand planning issues, and supply chain concerns as well as financial impacts
  • Identify, develop, & execute savings opportunities including, but not limited to supplier consolidation, RFQ & fact-based negotiation
  • Act as project manager and lead cross functional team to carry out project implementation
  • Foster collaborative & effective communication between supply base and internal stakeholders (i.e. operations, plant purchasing personnel, quality, engineering, sales, etc)
  • Work with suppliers & business to ensure working capital initiatives (inventory management) & cash flow initiatives (improving payment terms)
  • Determine and drive problem solving initiatives between Sales, Operations and our customers
