Sr. Principal Low Observable Design & Analysis Engineer
About The Position
Raytheon is seeking a Sr. Principal Low Observable Design & Analysis Engineer to support stealth technology and low observable (LO) weapon systems across development, production, and maintenance. The role focuses on radar cross section (RCS) design, analysis, and testing, and on incorporating advanced signature control techniques into deliverable products while assessing system-level performance. The engineer will work with integrated product teams, develop proposals and bases of estimate, and present testing, analysis, and design results to internal and external customers. This is an onsite position in Tucson, Arizona. An active, current Secret clearance is required before the start date; U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.
Requirements
- Typically, a STEM degree and at least 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field and at least 7 years of experience.
- Experience performing RCS measurement/testing, prediction, and/or design.
- Current Secret security clearance; an active and existing clearance is required on day one.
- U.S. citizenship is required because only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with high-temperature RCS reduction techniques.
- Experience with infrared signature analysis and reduction techniques.
- Experience with laser cross-section reduction techniques.
- Experience using industry-standard computational electromagnetic (CEM) codes such as SENTRi and XPATCH.
- Integrated Product Team (IPT) leadership experience.
- Advanced degree in a STEM field.
- Top Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Perform radar cross section (RCS) design, analysis, and testing.
- Work in integrated product teams to incorporate advanced signature control techniques into deliverable products and help assess system-level performance.
- Write proposals and develop bases of estimate (BOE).
- Present results of testing, analysis, and design efforts to internal and external customers.
