About The Position

The Principal Azure Cloud Solutions Engineer serves as a senior technical authority designing, implementing, and improving secure, scalable, and resilient Microsoft Azure solutions. The role combines solution architecture and hands-on engineering to support cloud adoption, application modernization, infrastructure automation, and operational excellence. As a principal individual contributor, the engineer leads complex technical initiatives, establishes engineering standards, mentors other engineers, and works with business and technology leaders to turn organizational priorities into practical cloud solutions. The position covers Azure solution design and engineering, infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD automation, security and governance, reliability and operations, and cost management. The engineer establishes reusable patterns and technical roadmaps, guides cloud service selection and modernization, supports secure hybrid connectivity, and leads troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. The role also communicates technical options, risks, costs, and recommendations to stakeholders and evaluates emerging Azure capabilities through focused proof-of-concept work. This is a remote position. A bachelor's degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred. The annual pay range is $137,000–$229,000, depending on location and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, paid time off, parental leave, and potential performance-based bonuses. Fresenius Medical Care is an equal opportunity employer.
