About The Position

The Architect will serve as a technical leader within Cadence’s North America Field Applications Team, driving strategic customer engagements and influencing next-generation EDA and Agentic-AI solutions. The role calls for exceptional technical depth, hands-on design convergence experience, and the ability to align cross-functional teams to deliver advanced design solutions for leading semiconductor companies.

The position leads customer and partner engagements to achieve best-in-class PPA and supports adoption of Cadence digital implementation, signoff technologies, and AgenticAI features across advanced nodes of 3nm and below. It also collaborates with R&D and Product Engineering to influence tool enhancements based on customer requirements, and drives complex benchmarks, flow optimization, and deployment of methodologies for synthesis, place and route, STA, IR drop, and power and timing closure.

The role represents Cadence at industry forums, authors technical papers, and delivers keynote presentations to position the company as a market leader.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in IC design implementation and signoff, with demonstrated success managing large-scale technical programs.
• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in digital design fundamentals, advanced-node implementation (3nm and below), and EDA tool ecosystems.
• Proven track record of leading technical teams and driving customer success at executive levels.
• Strong proficiency in Tcl, Python, or Perl scripting and flow customization for design closure.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills, including the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience with Cadence tools (Genus, Innovus, Tempus, Voltus, Conformal, Cerebrus) and competitive solutions.
