Sr Patient Accounting Representative, Full Time, First Shift

About The Position
The Sr Patient Accounting Representative manages accounts by checking the status of unpaid claims electronically or by phone and working with third-party carriers or intermediaries. The role follows standard departmental operating procedures to pursue prompt payment of hospital claims for assigned financial classes and payors. It collaborates with other departments to drive payer collections and communicates process issues and improvement opportunities to the Patient Account Lead.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in medical billing and/or collections.
Nice To Haves
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
Responsibilities
