About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced and tech-savvy Senior Mortgage Loan Processor to join our fast-growing, technology-driven loan processing company. Our experienced loan processors, supported by cutting-edge technology, including AI, help ensure industry-leading SLAs and reduced time-to-close, with up to 70% cost savings for brokers. You will perform mortgage loan processing for our independent mortgage broker clients, including registering loan applications, requesting, preparing, and reviewing necessary documents, communicating with borrowers, lenders, and other third parties, and resolving issues to ensure timely closings. This is a full-time, remote position. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior loan processor looking to venture into the tech startup world and expand their horizons.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of full-time loan processing experience.
• At least 2 years of full-time experience working as a loan processor for independent mortgage brokers (i.e., not for a lender or broker-lender hybrid).
• Experience processing FNMA, FHLMC, VA, FHA, and Jumbo mortgages.
• Fluent in the most commonly used loan programs and guidelines.
• Ability to perform income calculations to confirm a loan officer's pre-qualification.
• Strong familiarity with multiple popular broker LOS and POS software (Arive and LendingPad preferred; Encompass, Calyx, etc. are ok).
• Deep experience originating mortgage loans with many different wholesale lenders, including UWM, PennyMac, LoanDepot, NewRez, Paramount, CMG, Rocket, etc.
• Ability to manage a busy loan pipeline (25 loans or more) and solve problems independently.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including responsiveness with borrowers and loan officers.
• High degree of pride and ownership for your work.

Responsibilities

• Manage a pipeline of loan applications, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
• Prepare and review loan documents and closing disclosures according to regulatory compliance timelines.
• Understand loan applications, automated underwriting systems (DU/LPA), credit, income, and asset documents.
• Proactively resolve any issues or delays to ensure timely loan closing.
• Prepare loan estimates and early disclosures in accordance with regulatory compliance.
• Order and review third-party services and documents, such as credit reports, appraisals, and title reports.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately while delivering exceptional customer service.
• Constantly learn and improve from established feedback loops to complete tasks correctly and in a timely manner.
