Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of federal, state, and local regulatory and insurance requirements.
  • Broad knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to the insurance industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply operations management and business process re-engineering tools and techniques to a wide variety of business techniques.
  • Strong project management, leadership, and practice development skills.
  • Strong personal computer skills with experience in Windows-based software.
  • Excellent presentation, oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills to effectively interact with Aflac’s senior management and internal and external contacts.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 8+ years of professional related work experience
  • 5 years in a supervisory/managerial capacity leading diverse work groups
  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Responsibilities

  • Leads the implementation function, ensuring operational alignment between the business and third-party partnerships.
  • Oversees renewal support, plan change execution, and service delivery for complex, high-value accounts; ensures initiatives are completed accurately, on time, and in compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
  • Directs the implementation of plan changes for custom business and specialized market segments, ensuring tailored solutions meet unique client needs.
  • Establishes governance standards and oversight for EDI change management; ensures processes are optimized for scalability, compliance, and efficiency.
  • Owns business operations process flows and work instruction governance; ensures documentation is maintained, accessible, and standardized across the division.
  • Serves as the senior escalation point for implementation related issues; provides resolution direction for cross-functional leaders, to include Enrollment Platforms, and Premier Broker relationship management teams.
  • Partners with cross-functional leadership like product, technology, and operations leadership to evaluate and enhance process flows; champions initiatives that improve accuracy, reduce cycle times, and enhance the customer experience.
  • Oversees onboarding of new administrators and platform relationships; ensures cross-functional readiness and alignment for smooth integration.
  • Provides senior leadership, coaching, and development to implementation managers and renewals team, building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
  • Monitors organizational performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; leads process improvement and transformation initiatives in eligibility and plan change operations.
  • Establish standards and best practices for implementation processes, documentation, and change management.
  • Performs other duties as required.
