Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent vocational or technical training
- Minimum of 18 months' clerical or customer service experience preferably in a medical or health provider environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
Responsibilities
- Greeting donors and conducting registration procedures to verify donor suitability at the plasma center
- Assisting qualified donors complete the screening process following standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Educating new donors on the therapeutic products made from donated plasma
- Maintaining alertness and awareness to any reaction a donor has during or after the pheresis process and notifying appropriate staff
- Conducting daily calibration of equipment and resolving calibration issues according to SOPs
- Troubleshooting equipment failures; creating incident documentation, removing and/or replacing equipment from service
- Maintaining a clean efficient work environment, and ensuring sufficient operating supplies and forms are available
- Ensuring accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system as outlined in SOPs
- Following all Health Safety and Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures
