About The Position

The Sr. Medical Assistant participates in day-to-day clinical care at a clinic located at 8199 Southpark Lane, Littleton, Colorado. The role supports providers and coordinates patient care in accordance with physician direction and company standards and policies. It includes patient intake, clinical procedures, assisting with minor procedures, maintaining clinic logs and quality controls, and handling referrals, patient portal messages, medication refills, calls, and appointments. Requirements

Graduate from a Medical Assistant program or school, or have relevant experience.
Have a current CPR card for Healthcare Professionals (AHA BLS), or be willing to obtain one within 30 days.
Have at least 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.

Nice To Haves

Registered Medical Assistant or Certified Medical Assistant.
At least 2 years of clinical experience.
EMR experience.
Experience working with HMO, PPO, or Medicare.

Responsibilities

Participate in the day-to-day clinical care of patients.
Perform patient intake, including vital signs, history, and medication review.
Coordinate patient care as directed by physicians and in accordance with company standards and policies.
Perform clinical procedures, including injections, ear lavage, and point-of-care testing.
Assist providers with minor procedures.
Maintain clinical logs, including exam room maintenance, temperature, and blood specimen logs.
Submit electronic referrals for additional services.
Enroll in and respond to electronic patient messages through the patient portal program.
Process medication refills according to protocol.
Make and take patient calls.
Schedule appointments when required.
Order and oversee supplies.
Ensure clinic quality controls.
Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
