About The Position

Amazon Ads enables businesses of all sizes to showcase their products and brand to customers shopping on and off Amazon globally. As a fast-growing, innovative, and strategically important function, Amazon Ads continuously evolves with new products and advertising capabilities, including self-service advertising products that integrate advertising into the shopping experience from discovery to purchase. The team is dedicated to delivering solutions that delight shoppers while enabling businesses to not only sell their products on Amazon but also grow brand awareness, inspire discovery, and increase brand loyalty. A key part of this charter is to support small and mid-sized businesses (SMBs) in reaching new audiences and accelerating growth through self-service advertising products like Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, Brand Stores, and Sponsored TV. The team is responsible for developing marketing programs that increase awareness of these ad solutions, address key customer pain points, accelerate product adoption, and ensure advertiser success.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
  • Proven creative, analytical and project management capabilities
  • Strong communicator who can earn trust with key stakeholders across multiple teams
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and willing to work autonomously, handling multiple initiatives simultaneously
  • Data-driven, detail-oriented, and passionate about creating compelling experiences through marketing

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working directly with sellers, in either a retail or advertising capacity
  • Intermediate experience with SQL in performing data extractions and analysis
  • Experience leveraging large data sets for customer segmentation, targeting, experimentation and analysis
  • Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions
  • Experience managing creative (internal team of designers, copywriters, external agencies and freelancers)
  • Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
  • Can work proactively and independently, meet deadlines, and deliver on projects and tasks

Responsibilities

  • Define the overall SMB marketing & creative strategy to increase awareness and utilization of Sponsored Products (audience segmentation, creative/content strategy, channel strategy, and marketing calendar)
  • Create on-brand, best in class content, tailored to appropriate customers to effectively build acquisition campaigns
  • Own end-to-end campaign management from ideation to execution and measurement
  • Audit existing content and identify gaps in content assets
  • Work across Marketing Managers, Content Creators, Designers, Program Managers, and business leadership to align channel initiatives with cross-functional team goals
  • Analyze, report on, and optimize against key performance metrics
  • Own lifecycle marketing strategy and execution, leveraging segmentation and customer insights to evaluate impact and inform CX, channel and audience decisions in partnership with data science, marketing operations, and tech teams.
  • Drive reporting, insights, and optimization loops, sharing learnings with stakeholders and implementing data-driven recommendations to enhance long-term business performance.
