About The Position

The Sr. Manufacturing Engineering Manager plans, manages, and coordinates people and tools to deploy new manufacturing methods that achieve cost and output targets. The role ensures equipment capacity planning is aligned with demand and oversees engineering changes, process improvements, and capital expansion. It establishes the processes, systems, and governance supporting new product introduction (NPI), capacity analysis, change management, capital expenditures (CAPEX), and manufacturing subject-matter expertise. The manager builds and develops the team, ensuring it is appropriately resourced and trained to meet manufacturing demands safely and on time. The role engages in manufacturing prototype gates to support design for manufacturability and progression from prototype development through production release. It ensures manufacturing processes can deliver capable outcomes at the right time and cost, and that equipment and staffing capacity models align with current and anticipated needs. The position develops industrial engineering capabilities and practical cycle-time planning, oversees plant improvement CAPEX projects and spending, and leads change management across design, process, tooling, supplier, and other changes affecting manufacturing. It establishes standardized process documentation, fosters continuous improvement, monitors KPIs and other measures, and facilitates technical problem-solving and root-cause elimination. The role also applies lean manufacturing practices and performs other duties as assigned.
