About The Position

As a member of Miltenyi Biotec’s IT Team, the Sr Manager, SAP PC oversees functional and technical support teams responsible for maintaining and enhancing SAP systems. The role aligns North American operations with global SAP standards and supports communication between regional teams and the company’s headquarters in Germany. The manager leads and mentors SAP professionals, coordinates work across departments, translates business needs into SAP requirements, and drives initiatives from concept through execution. The role also contributes to long-term SAP strategy and planning to support the company’s growth and changing needs. Travel may be up to 10%.

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
At least 5 years of leadership experience in information technology.
At least 7 years of relevant SAP consulting or operations experience.
Experience managing SAP projects and driving process changes.
Experience with a Tier 1 ERP, including integrating ERP systems with other systems, EDI, and portals; SAP is highly preferred.
Significant experience in one or more of these SAP modules: Sales and Distribution (SD), Material Management (MM), Production Planning (PP), Warehouse Management System (WMS), Project System (PS), or Finance (FI).
Experience training users and driving change adoption across diverse user communities, including technicians, engineers, scientists, and management.
Ability to independently learn and master information technology systems such as ERP and other systems using documentation and testing.
Ability to engage effectively with senior management and understand executive communication dynamics.
Proficiency in MS Office applications.
Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information effectively to various stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

PMP or similar certification, or relevant experience in ERP project management.
Experience deploying changes in highly compliant environments such as medical, pharmaceutical, biotech, or food industries.
Experience with SAP full deployments or M&A integration into SAP environments.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor SAP professionals handling complex business issues, including analysis, system building and customization, testing, and deployment.
Foster a collaborative team environment and support employees’ professional growth and development.
Build internal relationships with IT, finance, operations, senior management, and headquarters to enable problem-solving and issue resolution.
Understand business needs and translate them into SAP requirements.
Align North American SAP team goals and processes with those in Germany, maintaining communication and presenting to the SAP team in Germany.
Initiate, design, and drive business requirements from concept through actionable execution plans.
Analyze and document requirements, and design and document suitable systems or modifications to existing systems.
Coordinate testing for application and interface changes, prepare users for testing, train users on software quality assurance processes, and collect and review test results.
Guide and coach team members to optimize performance and achieve departmental goals.
Contribute to long-term SAP strategy and planning.
Travel up to 10%.
