About The Position

This position is responsible for directing the daily activities of the Manufacturing Engineering team that supports the RS-25 program. The team consists of Managers, IPT team leads. The position will report to the Director of the Manufacturing Engineering and is dotted line to the RS-25 Program office, with the primary objective of executing Operations & Program goals. The position will oversee a team of Manufacturing Engineering Managers, coordinating across multiple functions to ensure program success. Additionally, this management role includes financial responsibilities for operations & programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience.
  • Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily work assignments to meet quality, cost, and schedule commitments.
  • Maintain employee training and critical skills.
  • Support employee growth through training in manufacturing and engineering requirements and processes.
  • Integrate strategies to create productive cohesive team.
  • Attend daily program meetings determine shop floor priorities to ensure AOP goals are achieved on time & within budget.
  • Create environment for communication with Quality, Supply chain, Operation, Engineering & Program leadership to drive production.
  • Understand program financial performance and head count requirements.
  • Coordinate operation to ensure the staffing plans meets program requirements.
  • Collaborate with both Program office and operations to align schedule commitments with financial goals.
  • Drive process improvement projects to achieve greater efficiency, effectiveness, and reliability with a focus on reduced costs and improved quality.
  • Support internal and external audits of the manufacturing area.
  • Drive root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective action on any findings.
  • Identify, report, and eliminate unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
  • Work with your teams to implement safety improvements and drive a culture that promotes a safe environment.
