About The Position

This job is responsible for leading a team of product professionals focused on managing the lifecycle of technology products and feature enhancements. It gathers insights from customers and the marketplace to understand needs, new technologies, and trends in the market to develop the product roadmap. It guides the innovation, conceptualization, requirements gathering, specification creation, release, and implementation processes. It ensures that product delivery schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development are coordinated with stakeholders to successfully release new products on time and within budget.

Requirements

• Education requires knowledge normally obtained through a Bachelor's degree
• 7+ years Agile environment, Product management experience leading omnichannel

Responsibilities

• Leads, mentors and grows a team of product professionals to ensure they are high performing, ultra-collaborative and hyper-focused on the customer experience driven by data.
• Helps team prioritize capabilities based on value to the organization, leads a test and learn culture, and defines and drives toward KPIs and results in assigned product areas.
• Fosters an environment of progressive growth and development for the product team.
• Drives the research, implementation, integration and optimization of solutions within PetSmart’s domain.
• Gathers insights from customers and the marketplace to understand needs, new technologies, and trends in the market to develop and implement the product roadmap.
• Guides the innovation, conceptualization, requirements gathering, specification creation, release, and implementation processes.
• Ensures that product delivery schedules and tasks related to all aspects of product development are coordinated with stakeholders to successfully release new products on time and within budget.
• Spearheads prioritization and delivery of critical organizational eCommerce initiatives.
• Serves as main POC for vendor partners as needed (negotiating costs, reviewing contracts, working with procurement and legal, ensuring security assessments, ongoing relationship management, etc.).
• Cultivates strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring alignment across the product landscape.
• Leads ongoing evaluations and refinement of existing solutions/processes, including intake, discovery, vendor solutions, deployment checks, regression testing.
• Serve as a point of escalation for operational incidents as needed.
• Works with other leaders and Director to strategically define and establish the principles of product management and ownership, creating a robust framework that guides product development and fosters innovation across the organization.
