Requirements

  • Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • 8–10+ years of experience in optical, photonics, or high-speed interconnect product management or development.
  • Strong understanding of optical modules, fiber optics, signal integrity, and data center applications.
  • Proven leadership and cross-functional project management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with hyperscale, AI, or high-performance computing markets preferred.
  • Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
  • Experience with optical transceivers (e.g., 400G/800G/1.6T).
  • Familiarity with industry standards (IEEE, OIF, MSA).
  • Experience working with global suppliers and manufacturing partners.

Responsibilities

  • Define and execute product strategy and roadmap for optical/photonics product lines.
  • Lead cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, operations, and sales to deliver products on schedule and within budget.
  • Conduct market analysis, competitive benchmarking, and customer requirement gathering.
  • Translate customer and system requirements into detailed product specifications.
  • Manage product lifecycle from concept through end-of-life.
  • Drive business case development, pricing strategy, and margin optimization.
  • Work closely with key sales and partners on technical alignment and qualifications.
  • Support customer escalations and resolve technical or commercial issues.
  • Mentor and develop product management team members.
