About The Position

Coherent Corp. is seeking an entrepreneurial, strategic, hands-on General Manager and Site Leader to lead its developing high-tech materials business in Port Richey, Florida. The site has approximately $25 million in revenue, and the role has complete operational and financial ownership of the facility. The position focuses on building and developing a technical production team to support rapid growth and managing full P&L responsibilities to achieve sustainable profitability and operational excellence. As the site's top executive, the leader connects divisional strategy with local execution and fosters a culture of innovation, safety, and high performance. The role oversees daily site operations, including technical production, supply chain, quality assurance, engineering, and facilities management. It is responsible for safely scaling production, setting budgets and capital plans, improving efficiency and profitability, and aligning site strategy with the divisional Vice President. The Site Leader also represents the company in the local community and regional business ecosystem. Employees must follow site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. corporate EHS standards. Depending on location, the position may be responsible for executing and maintaining applicable ISO 9000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or other standards within the Quality Management System and Environmental Management System. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Business Administration, or a related technical or management field.
At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in high-tech manufacturing or advanced materials.
Proven full P&L ownership, strong financial acumen, and experience managing operations or equivalent projects valued at $20 million or more in revenue.
Demonstrated success building, scaling, and leading technical production and manufacturing teams from the ground up.
Strong knowledge of advanced manufacturing processes, continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean and Six Sigma, and EHS standards.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to report to corporate executive leadership and engage directly with shop-floor employees.
Follow site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp. corporate EHS standards.

Responsibilities

Attract, recruit, and retain technical and production talent to build a high-performing manufacturing and engineering team.
Mentor, coach, and develop site staff, establish succession plans, and foster a collaborative culture aligned with company values.
Establish performance metrics and accountability structures to support the site's growth.
Own the site's full P&L, driving revenue growth, margin expansion, and cost management.
Develop, manage, and execute annual operating budgets, capital expenditure plans, and financial forecasts.
Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Oversee daily site operations, including technical production, supply chain, quality assurance, engineering, and facilities management.
Scale production capabilities safely and efficiently to meet market demand for high-tech materials.
Align site operational strategies with the divisional Vice President's goals.
Maintain workplace safety and compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and company standards.
Represent the company in the local Port Richey community and regional business ecosystem.
Depending on location, execute and maintain applicable quality and environmental management standards.
