About The Position

Network Design & Optimization (NDO) is a highly cross-functional, strategic, and instrumental function within Gatik. The team is responsible for planning and maintaining networks / routes for Gatik’s Autonomous Vehicles (AVs). The NDO team provides the critical link between business and technical functions within Gatik. The team collaborates across various functions including Commercial, Engineering, Procurement, Operations, and Product. We are looking for an individual to become an integral part of this team. The individual will be responsible for leveraging their strong quantitative, strategic thinking and creative skills to help Gatik scale Freight-Only Operations and meet rising demands of our customers. The individual will work across functions, and enable the NDO team in meeting its broad mandate. In this role, your learning, growth and responsibility will be directly influenced by you. This role is 5 days a week at our Santa Clara, CA office location.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related science discipline. MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of work experience in a strategic, analytical and/or customer facing role. Consulting, Banking, and/or a start-up experience preferred.
• Hands on experience problem solving and implementing scalable solutions to complex problems within a rapidly changing environment
• Proven ability to analyze data, develop creative solutions, and make sound decisions under pressure.
• Excellent proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Data analytics tools. Data modeling / scripting skills with Python strongly preferred.
• Comfortable using AI tools to automate workflows.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing ambiguity, ability to multitask and prioritize conflicting demands.

Nice To Haves

• MBA preferred.
• Consulting, Banking, and/or a start-up experience preferred.
• Data modeling / scripting skills with Python strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of business, technical, product and operations individuals to design and optimize Gatik’s Autonomous Networks.
• Drive the implementation and scaling of tools, capabilities, and processes necessary to achieve goals of the NDO team.
• Analyze the network data of customers and prepare optimized networks and corresponding commercial proposals
• Structure complex problems, analyze large amounts of data, and deliver insights and recommendations to the Gatik leadership team.
• Support the B2B sales cycle including data analysis, network design, routing, scheduling and proposal drafting
• Lead end to end projects within Gatik and external stakeholders to collect and compile information in support of business strategy and operations.
• Explain business requirements to technical team members and ensure product development alignment with team vision and goals
• Conduct research and analysis of industry, company, customer, and channel data to support market assessment and identification of key trends / opportunities.
• Communicate analysis and recommendations to stakeholders including external senior executives by preparing presentations and identifying actionable insights
