About The Position

The Sr Manager Engineering is the wastewater process design domain expert for the Zone, supporting major wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) capital initiatives. The role develops and deploys standardized WWTP designs, equipment specifications, and cost estimates, while working with project leads and cross-functional partners to ensure capital projects support business continuity, operating income, factory efficiency, safety, quality, sanitary requirements, and Kraft Heinz standards. The position also benchmarks installed equipment and processes, identifies best available technologies, and incorporates lessons learned into engineering standards and future projects. The role provides technical support to project engineers during equipment build, acceptance testing, and commissioning; works with third-party engineering firms on bid and construction drawings; participates in technical peer reviews and post-project reviews; and supports troubleshooting across wastewater processes. It also establishes wastewater plant operating KPIs, surveys and measures current-state performance, aligns improvement targets, and works with external stakeholders to maximize the value of investments. The position is based in a normal office environment with open workspaces, moderate travel to customer locations, stores, and manufacturing facilities, and 30% domestic and international travel. Travel varies with project stage, and a driver’s license is required because some factories are several hours from the nearest airport. Physical requirements include constant keyboard or text input, occasional access to high or low objects and staircases, and frequent standing during commissioning, factory acceptance testing (FAT), and startup.
