About The Position

Our client is a growing consumer products company with a strong ecommerce foundation. The business is expanding its internal capabilities and continuing to build stronger systems across marketing, brand, creative, ecommerce, and operations. This is a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment where the right person can bring structure, ownership, and meaningful impact as the company continues to scale. We are currently seeking a Senior eCommerce Manager. The Senior eCommerce Manager exists to drive online sales growth through website conversion optimizations, ongoing customer experience enhancements, and team leadership, which are critical for scaling the DTC businesses across the portfolio. This person is an eCommerce professional with both: Hands-on experience growing DTC sales Experience managing a small eCommerce team Role Summary The Senior eCommerce Manager will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing DTC operations, focusing on driving online sales growth, enhancing the customer experience, and conversion rate optimization (CRO) across the Society Brands portfolio. You will lead the strategy and execution of eCommerce initiatives, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment across marketing, creative, performance marketing, lifecycle/retention marketing, and customer service. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of eCommerce platforms, digital marketing, and data analytics, with a proven track record of scaling online sales and building customer experiences that grow conversion and customer loyalty.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in eCommerce management with a strong track record of scaling online sales for direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands, ideally in the beauty or skincare industry.
  • Proven expertise in managing eCommerce platforms such as Shopify or Magento.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using Google Analytics and other tools to track performance and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in conversion rate optimization (CRO) and developing/managing the user experience roadmap.
  • Deep understanding of digital marketing strategies – SEO, paid search, email marketing, and and paid social – to inform website strategies and plans.
  • Excellent project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple initiatives.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Direct-to-consumer experience required; beauty, skincare, health/wellness, or premium CPG strongly preferred.
  • AI-savvy and/or experienced leveraging AI tools, capability, and practices to improve productivity and performance
  • Beauty and/or health and wellness industry experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies and website roadmap to drive revenue growth, conversion rates, and average order value (AOV) across the Society Brands portfolio.
  • Lead website performance optimization efforts.
  • Collaborate with marketing, creative, performance marketing, and lifecycle teams to align campaign calendars and eCommerce initiatives with the broader company and brand objectives. Coordinate with all relevant teams to ensure consistency and timely execution across all channels.
  • Track, analyze and report key performance metrics (e.g., traffic, conversion rates, AOV, engagement, etc.).
  • Support customer acquisition and retention strategies through effective website merchandising and customer journeys optimized for conversion throughout the funnel.
  • Partner with the supply chain management and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations and optimal customer experiences.
  • Monitor industry trends, platform enhancements, and digital best practices to inform future opportunities.
  • Champion AI tools, capabilities, and practices to improve productivity as well as support CRO opportunities.
  • Present website performance reports to internal teams and stakeholders on a regular basis (weekly/monthly).
