About The Position

As a Sr. Manager, Decision Science - Supply Chain Analytics within Best Buy’s Digital, Analytics, and Technology organization, you will partner cross-functionally to embed data-driven decision-making and deliver high-impact analytic solutions that advance strategic and operational outcomes across the supply chain organization. You will use business context and data to identify solution opportunities, shape team strategy, prioritize work, guide technical execution, deploy solutions, and measure their impact. The role calls for extensive experience framing problems and applying analytic techniques to business problems with measurable impact.

This is a hybrid role. You are required to work onsite Monday through Thursday at Best Buy’s corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and may work virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location on Friday. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or business field, such as statistics, mathematics, engineering, economics, management, or supply chain, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a quantitative, supply chain, or retail field.
• At least 3 years of experience applying SQL, Python, R, or a similar tool, and using visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
• At least 2 years of experience leading analytics professionals or teams, directly or indirectly.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree in a quantitative or business field.
• Exposure to on-premises and cloud-based analytics management.
• Exposure to an agile or sprint-based work environment.
• Prior direct people leadership experience.
• Supply chain domain experience, especially in logistics, transportation, or warehouse operations.
• Prior retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of individual contributors.
• Advise stakeholders, understand business challenges, and identify opportunities for analytics to improve business outcomes.
• Partner with business stakeholders to shape requests into well-structured, outcome-based engagements with clear analytics scope.
• Adapt to new domains and unfamiliar business challenges, build context quickly, and develop data-driven solutions.
• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to support continuous improvement in Best Buy’s supply chain.
• Partner with supply chain, technology, data operations, and ML operations leaders to co-create solutions that improve operations.
• Define success metrics and measurement criteria for new capabilities, and consistently monitor established strategies and operations.
• Communicate effectively in writing and verbally with technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.
