About The Position

We are seeking a visionary, editorial-focused content leader to take ownership of and significantly evolve the content engine across all Love Wellness owned channels. As the Sr. Manager of Content & Social Strategy, you will be instrumental in defining the brand's editorial strategy and presence on platforms like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. A key part of your role will be to forge a powerful, single-flywheel connection between our founder’s established audience and the Love Wellness brand. This is a unique opportunity to fundamentally rebuild the content strategy for a decade-old brand that boasts significant retail distribution, a deeply loyal customer base, and strong market momentum. You will work closely with our highly visible founder and a committed cross-functional team that deeply values the content function. This position reports directly to the VP of Marketing.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of content/editorial leadership at a consumer brand (DTC, women’s health, beauty, wellness, or CPG preferred).
  • Located in the NYC area and able to come into our office in downtown Manhattan 3 days per week.
  • Proven success building content systems that drive measurable business outcomes, particularly revenue growth.
  • Deep fluency in platform-native content across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Pinterest.
  • Strong editorial judgment; can instantly gauge brand fit.
  • Direct experience building content in regulated/compliance-sensitive categories (supplements, skincare, or health); familiarity with structure/function claims is a plus.
  • Comfort collaborating directly with a visible founder on brand voice; ability to quickly translate founder feedback into team direction.
  • Experience briefing and managing agencies, freelancers, and external partners.
  • AI-tooling native (Claude, ChatGPT, or equivalent) or willingness to master and teach tools within 30 days to boost team output and quality.
  • Comfortable appearing on camera and participating in social content when needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience at a founder-led consumer brand where the founder and brand channels operate as an integrated content system.
  • Experience in women’s health or personal familiarity with the customer.
  • Experience in a retail-heavy business where organic content supports shelf presence (Target, Walmart, Ulta).

Responsibilities

  • Own the editorial direction of Love Wellness across all owned channels — what we talk about, how we talk about it, and how that voice shows up consistently across platforms.
  • Develop and maintain the content framework that ladders every post back to the brand’s POV and our customer’s actual need states.
  • Own brand voice guardrails, including structure/function compliance for supplement claims and the copy formats the team writes against.
  • Lead and manage Love Wellness’ social media presence across core platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Pinterest, as well as emerging channels.
  • Develop and implement platform-native content strategies, recognizing that each channel (e.g., Instagram, TikTok) requires a tailored approach to audiences, formats, and algorithms.
  • Collaborate with the creative and brand teams to plan and execute a unified social content calendar, ensuring coordinated movement across all channels.
  • Produce and publish high-quality, on-brand, and engaging content, including short-form video, graphics, captions, and posts driven by current trends.
  • Monitor trends, conversations, and cultural moments to keep Love Wellness relevant and responsive.
  • Manage community engagement across platforms, including comments and DMs, to foster authentic conversations and maintain an active brand presence.
  • Map founder content — Instagram, podcast, Substack, blog — into the Love Wellness editorial calendar where it serves the brand.
  • Partner directly with the founder on editorial priorities, voice calibration, and signature recurring formats.
  • Analyze performance metrics and optimize content based on insights and growth opportunities.
  • Measure organic content with attribution rigor: saves, shares, watch-through, comments, not just follower growth.
