About The Position

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. This team is responsible for keeping the Cloud running by supporting all AWS data centers and the associated equipment. The role will be key in defining the robotics automation strategy and footprint for AWS manufacturing, as well as the implementation and scaling of solutions. It will also drive continuous improvement efforts related to manufacturing layouts, process designs, assembly and testing procedures, and actively work on improving productivity, cost reduction, and quality improvements. The ideal candidate will be a senior engineering leader to build and lead a central pillar of the Supply Chain Operations organization, spanning Operations Management, Manufacturing, and Logistics. This team will leverage AWS Product Engineering specifications to engineer critical aspects of manufacturing and logistics operations, including Process and Material layout design, Automation, and Industrial Engineering. The role involves functioning as a multidisciplinary leader at the intersection of engineering and operations for new manufacturing facilities, site expansions, and continuous improvements at existing sites. Strong leadership, influencing skills, and technical depth are critical. This leader will manage a team of engineers and technical program managers to establish manufacturing standards, deploy automation, and publish process control guidelines for a flawless ramp into volume manufacturing.
