About The Position

Delek US Holdings is a boutique-sized diversified downstream energy company with a range of assets, including petroleum refining and logistics. Our refineries in Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana have a combined crude capacity of 302,000 barrels per day. Our logistics business currently owns and operates 720 miles of crude and product pipelines, a 600-mile crude oil gathering system, and storage tanks and terminals. This role performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and capital expenditure schedules. The Sr Manager, Accounting prepares, records, analyzes, and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. This role provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget. The Sr Manager, Accounting analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements, and reports, and conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects.

Requirements

  • 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and manages accounting staff
  • Ensures that all accounting transactions are properly accounted for within the General Ledger and that all financial accounts properly represent the reported balances
  • Ensures that accounting staff are following all guidelines within SOX 404 compliance and that any changes are correctly reported to the Internal Audit department
  • Provides internal audit assistance when accounting process changes are necessary
  • Works with the IT department to ensure that accounting systems are properly recording all financial data
  • Ensures timely and accurate month-end accounting close
  • Reviews complex accounting tasks
  • Prepares, maintains and reconciles ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and capital expenditure schedules.
  • Prepares, records, analyzes, and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.
  • Provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget.
