Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in equipment maintenance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MS Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Valid driver’s license.
- Candidates must complete a satisfactory background check and pass a drug screen prior to employment.
- Successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).
Nice To Haves
- Able to set up and operate basic tool room equipment. Lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to repair or adjust parts.
- Able to organize, plan and prioritize work for others.
Responsibilities
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
- Observes, operates and listens to mechanical equipment in operation to locate causes of trouble.
- Dismantles devices to gain access to remove and replace defective parts.
- Examines shape, form, and wear of parts to detect imperfections and problems.
- Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements and adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments using hand tools, levels and straight edges.
- Repairs and replaces defective parts by removing and installing equipment components.
- Lubricates and cleans parts, start devices to test for performance.
- Initiates purchase order for parts and machines.
- Identifies events and records differences for physical maintenance scheduling.
- Drafts layouts and specifies technical devices, parts and equipment.
- Provides instructions, makes sketches and defines requirements.
- Makes decisions and solves problems from analyzing information and evaluating results.
