The Sr. Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for managing general maintenance duties, including the maintenance of all powered equipment such as dock restraints. This role requires the ability to identify mechanical issues with all powered equipment, including pneumatic, hydraulic, and electro-mechanical system issues. The position also involves maintaining the cleanliness of powered equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, sweepers, scrubbers, and tuggers. Additionally, the Sr. Maintenance Mechanic will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on all powered warehouse equipment, including dock restraints. Responsibilities extend to maintaining the overall cleanliness of the entire warehouse, including restrooms and office areas, and performing general warehouse maintenance to ensure a safe and professional work environment both inside and outside. This includes building and equipment repairs, proficiency in maintenance programs like recycling, lock out/tag out procedures, and hazardous materials handling. The role requires operating powered equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, tuggers, clamp attachments, and sweepers/scrubbers. The Sr. Maintenance Mechanic must be able to work with and, in the absence of the Maintenance Manager, prioritize workload and follow up on outstanding issues, as well as communicate with maintenance team members to ensure workload execution.
